Marcus Washington

Marcus Washington, a line backer for the Washington Redskins, pulled a hamstring during this season’s opener against the Giants. He made 5 tackles before his injury. He missed the first 2 practices of last week, but came to Friday’s. He was very limited in reps. “He’s a veteran guy and he doesn’t need a lot of reps,” Zorn said. “The younger guys--they need more reps. But Marcus is a very good football player and we wait until the last minute with him.” His return is listed as questionable. “I'm trying to see what I got,” Washington said. “It felt OK. I don't want to do anything crazy and set it back. It's still going to be a game-time decision.” Marcus did not play this week against the Saints. Coach Zorn decided that Washington needed to sit this one out. Marcus has been injured quite a bit. He is very injury prone. Washington played the 2006 season with a bad hip and a dodgy elbow - both required surgery after the season. Last year, a hamstring injury kept him out of four games and limited him in others.
